The social developments of the last two decades have influenced the art world and thus also the museum work at the Aargauer Kunsthaus. In various essays, the changes in dealing with contemporary art are thematised and the changes in exhibition and collection operations since the opening of the extension in 2003 are examined from different perspectives. By providing insights behind the scenes of the Kunsthaus, the publication makes an up-to-date contribution to the interweaving of theory and practice.
