Schnider Albrecht. Ohne Titel, 2006 (Edition)

In the 1980s Albrecht Schnider attracted attention with figurative painting. Starting from a reduced pictorial language, he is interested in the tension between representational and abstract representation, as in a series of portraits created in the years before his exhibition at the Aargauer Kunsthaus in 2006. In addition, an edition in two color variants was published, whose aesthetics are reminiscent of Pop Art models. The conspicuous white blank of the face shows a game of revealing and concealing in the portrait picture.
