Manon. Fotografie aus der Serie Hotel Dolores, 2008 – 2010 (Edition)

The edition by the Swiss artist Manon, a pioneer of artistic staging and role-playing, was created for her solo exhibition at the Aargauer Kunsthaus, 2011. Under the title Hotel Dolores, she showed for the first time a series of photographs taken in abandoned houses in the Bäderviertel in Baden, Aargau. The close-up of the photographs clearly shows the play with the staging of the existing and the added and encourages the viewer to imagine stories about the setting with red office chair, nostalgic pin-up cards and patterned wallpaper.
