Katz Alex. Still Life, 2007 (Edition)

On the occasion of the exhibition Scenes and Sequences - Peter Blum Editionen. 1980-2006 at the Aargauer Kunsthaus, 2007, the well-known American artist Alex Katz was won for an edition in favor of the Kunsthaus. In addition to painting, Katz is extensively engaged in prints that interact with his painting - as preliminary studies as well as independent paintings. The flower still life is an example of Katz's striving for reduction, which gives the motif a special expressive power.
