Gritsch Stefan. Bones n' Roses (Catalogue)

Stefan Gritsch's work is anchored in painting in the broadest sense, whereby he extends its conditions in the most diverse directions. Following various institutional appearances in Switzerland and abroad, the Aargauer Kunsthaus was organizing a solo exhibition of the artist in 2019. For the first time, this allowed the viewer to perceive his multifaceted oeuvre in all its complexity and breadth. This publication, conceived as a reading book, accompanied the exhibition and comprehensively present the most important aspects and stages of Stefan Gritsch's work. The titles of the pictures (with exhibition views) allow a traversing of thematic spaces, to which terms such as ROSES, INVERSIONS, AN EXHIBITION IN THE EXHIBITION, TRANSLATIONS, IMPACTS, ANIMAL, STILLNOW, FLOWERS or GARDEN are assigned. Accompanying publication to the exhibition of the same name in the Aargauer Kunsthaus, Aarau (May 18 - August 11, 2019)
